1stever League of such kind.
The Delhi Youth Football League was a first of its kind league which was organized by school students. It kicked off on 15 April 2007 at the Vasant Valley school organized by Shubham Garg and Arjun Bajaj. The first edition comprised of 8 teams. The league had no entry fees for players or any team. It was sponsored by Vasant Valley School.
In the league stage, each team played every other team once. After the league stages, the top four teams advanced to the semi finals. The 3rd place and final match were played on the 25th of May 2007. League matches were played with the time basis as 30-5-30. The further stages had 40-5-40. Other than that, FIFA rules and regulations were followed.
The league teams comprised of an array of diverse players. The age group of the league was Under 17. Players were free to choose their team and the teams were submitted to the organizers a week before the league.

Arjun Bajaj & Shubham Garg, who started the DYFL in Delhi in the month of May, are students of Vasant Valley and Mayo College. They further hope to continue organizing it with more teams and better standard.
Their love for the game and their desire to promote football in a friendly manner inspired them to start this league.
